About the player
Renato César Pérez came through Nacional's academy and made his first-team appearances for the Montevideo club between 2011 and 2015, a spell interrupted by loans to Switzerland's Lugano and, briefly, to fellow Uruguayan side Liverpool Montevideo. By 2016 he had moved on to Villa Española.
The forward's career then took him through a string of clubs rather than one defining destination.
Pérez joined Deportivo Maldonado as a free agent in 2024, marking a return to Uruguayan football after his time abroad.
He has not featured for the senior national team.
