About the player
Nine goals in 26 league matches in the 2024–25 season made David Tkáč one of the joint top scorers in the Czech National Football League. The club took the second-tier title and returned to the Fortuna:Liga.
He had been at Zlín since 2009, when he joined the youth academy. From the 2019/20 season he was playing for the reserve side, Zlín B, in the third-tier MSFL, and he kept turning out at that level through to 2023/24. His senior debut came on 15 May 2021 in the Czech First League, against Baník Ostrava.
Two caps and a goal at under-16 level in 2018, four appearances for the under-20s in 2021, then three under-21 caps and a goal in 2023. No senior call-up has been recorded.
On 4 July 2025 he moved to SK Sigma Olomouc on a contract running to 2029, for a fee reported at around 10 million Czech koruna. In the 2025–26 season he made his European debut for Sigma in UEFA competition qualifiers.
No individual honours — no player of the year award, no golden boot — appear on his record.
