Daniel Bassi

Daniel Bassi grew up playing for Tromsø IL after his family moved north from Oslo, and it was there that he broke into senior football, making his first-team debut in June 2022. His breakthrough season came in 2023, when eight Eliteserien appearances and a goal for Tromsø were enough to catch the eye of Bodø/Glimt, who took him north that summer as part of a swap deal involving Lasse Nordås, topping it up with a cash payment to Tromsø.

The move paid off quickly in terms of silverware. Bassi won the Eliteserien title in his first two seasons at Bodø/Glimt, in 2023 and 2024, and added the Norwegian Cup in the 2025/2026 campaign. His first goal for the club came on the biggest stage available to him, against Slavia Prague in the Champions League in 2025.

Internationally, Bassi has followed the usual route through Norway's youth ranks rather than the senior side. He has represented the under-19s and under-20s, and has been a regular for the under-21s, for whom he has scored, including in a 5-0 win over Slovenia in qualifying.

His time at Bodø/Glimt ended in August 2026 with a move to Lillestrøm SK on a contract running to 2030.
