About the player
Daniil Utkin's account with Russia's senior national team reads two caps and one goal — and the goal came on his debut, against Kyrgyzstan in September 2022.
He came through Krasnodar's academy, progressing via the Krasnodar-M and Krasnodar-2 sides before breaking into the first team in November 2018. The Guardian once listed him among the world's 60 most promising footballers born in 1999, and he was later nominated for the Golden Boy award. With Krasnodar he won bronze medals in the Russian championship in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
Rostov signed him in June 2022 for a fee reported at €2m. He made 38 league appearances, scoring 4 goals and adding 17 assists, before the contract was terminated in June 2026. He returned to Krasnodar the same month and was sent out on loan again almost immediately.
He arrived at Torpedo Moscow in February 2026 for the rest of the season. In the second-tier campaign there he has scored three goals in 13 appearances.
