About the player
Deji Elerewe was named EFL League One Apprentice of the Season for 2021–22, the year after he made his senior debut for Charlton Athletic in August 2021. He came through the club's academy, which he joined in 2016.
Opportunities at Charlton's first team were limited. He made five league appearances for the club, so his development came mostly on loan. At Wealdstone, between July 2022 and January 2023, he played 13 times. He then moved to Bromley in March 2023 and stayed until January 2024. There he played 18 games and scored three goals, a return that stands out for a defender.
Bromley made the move permanent on 2 February 2024. The fee was undisclosed and Charlton kept a sell-on clause. Elerewe stayed at Bromley for almost two years, and he played 38 league matches for the club.
On 25 January 2026 he signed for Lincoln City. The fee was undisclosed, though it was reported to be in the low six figures. His contract runs until June 2029, with an option for a further year. He made ten League One appearances for Lincoln in 2025–26, and in the 2026–27 season he has played eight times in the Championship.
At 195 cm, Elerewe is a right-footed defender.
