About the player
He came through the youth ranks at FH in Hafnarfjörður and moved to KR Reykjavík in 2012. Over three seasons he made 51 league appearances and scored 10 goals, and collected the Úrvalsdeild title in 2013, the Icelandic Cup in 2012 and 2014, and the Super Cup in the same two years.
The summer of 2015 took him abroad and back again in short order. A loan to Preußen Münster in the German 3. Liga yielded four appearances. A second loan, to Valur , brought eight appearances, two goals and another Icelandic Cup.
He then played 19 league games and scored six goals across three seasons at Þróttur Reykjavík , followed by 21 matches and three goals at HK Kópavogur in 2019.
He has since made more than 123 league appearances for the club and scored 58 goals, and in the 2023 Besta deild karla season he finished as the league's top scorer with 17. His career club record, as logged by the Icelandic FA, stands at 138 goals in 349 matches across all competitions.
None of his moves involved a transfer fee.
