About the player
Etienne Yves Beugré chose ambition over caution in 2024: offered his first call-up to the Côte d'Ivoire national team, he opted instead to travel for a trial at NK Maribor. Beugré signed with Maribor and went on to make 23 appearances, scoring four goals as the club finished runners-up in the Slovenian Prva Liga that season.
His path since has taken him through spells at FC Girondins de Bordeaux, where he scored twice in just two matches in France's National 2 before leaving as a free agent, and now to Kyzyl-Zhar Petropavlovsk in the Kazakhstan Premier League, where he arrived on a free transfer. At Kyzyl-Zhar, wearing number 99, the 195cm forward has already found his scoring form, with nine goals in 27 appearances across league and cup football.
Beugré's career began at home with AS Denguélé d'Odienné before his move abroad. Despite the interrupted international call-up, he remains uncapped for Côte d'Ivoire's senior side. His market value has been estimated at €281,000.
