About the player
The forward from Guayaquil began in the Emelec academy before turning professional at Independiente del Valle in 2009, part of the club's youth project rather than a commercial signing. A brief spell followed in Montenegro with Mladost Podgorica in 2012.
What came after was a long circuit through Ecuador's provincial clubs and beyond: Técnico Universitario, El Nacional, spells with Norte América, Azogues and Manta, then Liga de Loja, Orense and 9 de Octubre. In 2021 he crossed to El Salvador, turning out for Luis Ángel Firpo and Chacaritas, before a move to Bolivia's Real Tomayapo in 2022, where an injury cost him playing time.
Caicedo joined Libertad FC in Loja in 2024.
In January 2026 he left as a free agent for Orense SC, wearing number 17, before moving on again later in the year to Delfín SC, where he took the number 39 shirt.
