About the player
The move that took Daniil Dobrovolski out of Estonia carried no fee. On 1 August 2025 he signed for Radnik Surdulica of the Serbian SuperLiga, a month after leaving JK Narva Trans as a free agent. Nothing about the fee was made public, and the understanding is that he arrived on a free after his release.
Narva Trans is where the whole of the story before that took place. Dobrovolski joined the club's youth system in his home city of Narva and worked up through the U19 and U21 ranks, reaching the senior squad in January 2021. He made his first-team debut for the club and stayed on the books until 1 July 2025. Transfermarkt lists him as an Estonian youth champion from his time in the club's junior setup.
That means one club, from the youth teams to the senior side, across the whole of his career in Estonia — and then a first move abroad, into a league and a country he had not played in before. He turned twenty-one in the year he made it.
He has yet to be capped by Estonia at senior level.
At Surdulica he joined a squad in the middle of the Serbian top flight's season structure, having come from a smaller domestic championship where he had spent every year of his professional life.
