Elias Tamminen

Elias Tamminen spent his entire youth career inside a single club. In the reserve side, Ilves/2, he scored 11 goals in 21 league appearances in Kakkonen, adding a further goal across four play-off matches as the team reached the promotion final, where they lost to TPV. He also found the net in the Finnish Cup with the second team.

The numbers with the U19 side were sharper still. In the qualifying phase of the 2024/2025 A-pojat SM-sarja campaign, Tamminen scored 10 goals in just four matches, a return that outpaced anything he managed higher up the pyramid.

On 3 March 2026, that production earned him his first professional contract, a two-year deal with an option for a third season. The step up to Veikkausliiga followed within weeks: his debut for Ilves's first team came as a substitute, 20 minutes on the pitch, no goal, no assist. He has since featured twice in the UEFA Conference League, playing 29 minutes in total.

Tamminen holds no individual awards, and while Ilves won the Finnish championship in 2023, he had no part in that squad. What he does have is a clear scoring record at reserve and youth level and a route into senior football that has run entirely through one club.
