About the player
Eliot Smith reached Grimsby Town's first team through the club's own academy. His senior debut came in the FA Cup against Wealdstone on 6 December 2025, and he has since been named in the club's 2025-26 squad.
Before that, Smith came through the youth ranks at Blundell Park, playing for the Under-18 side in Central League and Youth Alliance matches. One of those fixtures was against Derby County.
He has not moved between senior clubs: his professional career so far has been at Grimsby, where he plays as a forward.
The debut was a cup tie and not a league fixture. The season is still under way, and Smith is at the start of his time in senior football.
