F. Istrăţeanu

Florentina Istrate made her name off the pitch as much as on it. Beyond her football career, she became the only Romanian woman to run marathons on all seven continents, completing seven marathons and seven ultramarathons across those continents in ten months — a feat that set a world record. The achievement earned her recognition as an "Extraordinary Woman Power" in the Sport category at the Biz Magazine Gala in 2023.

On the pitch, the midfielder — who can also play as a right winger — has established herself at Farul Constanța Women, the reigning Romanian champions. She has represented Romania's youth side, collecting three caps for the U19 team between September 2022 and November 2023, before stepping up to the senior national team, where she earned three caps from September 2023. One of her more notable senior appearances came on 21 February 2025, when she came on as a substitute in a UEFA Women's Nations League match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
