Gard Simenstad

Gard Simenstad's football education began close to home, at Vind IL, before he moved into SK Gjøvik-Lyn's youth ranks and eventually into the club's first team, where he stayed until 2018. The step up to senior football of consequence came at Raufoss IL, where he spent four seasons establishing himself before HamKam brought him in during February 2024 on a contract running to the end of 2026.

At HamKam, Simenstad became a regular fixture, making between 58 and 64 appearances and scoring six to ten goals. He was part of the squad that reached the quarter-final of the Norwegian Cup in 2024.

His spell at HamKam came to an end in August 2026, when the club confirmed his sale to Odd on 7 August. He carried his number 18 shirt with him to the new club. The transfer fee was not disclosed by either side.

Simenstad has not been capped at international level, and his career so far has been built through steady progression from lower-division football in his native Gjøvik area up to a top-flight move.
