About the player
Fourteen goals in thirty-three matches in the Russian First League in 2022–23 made Gedeon Guzina the division's joint top scorer alongside Ivan Timoshenko, and carried Baltika Kaliningrad to second place and promotion to the Russian Premier League.
Guzina came up at Drina HE Višegrad, where he made his senior debut in September 2012. What followed was a decade of short stays and free transfers: Sutjeska Foča, where he managed a single senior appearance, then Tekstilac Derventa, Borac Banja Luka, Zvijezda Gradačac and Mladost Doboj Kakanj. He signed for FK Sarajevo in July 2019 and won the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2019–20.
He left for NK Istra 1961 within months, and by September 2021 was at NK Radomlje, again as a free agent. Baltika signed him in June 2022. The season after his top-scorer campaign, he was part of the side that reached the Russian Cup final and lost 2–1 to Zenit Saint Petersburg. When his Baltika contract expired in June 2024 he went back to Radomlje, a club he had already left once.
The return to Russia came in January 2025 with Chernomorets Novorossiysk, where he scored seven times in thirteen appearances in the PARI First League. Orenburg paid a fee of roughly €54,000 for him on 5 July 2025 and handed him a two-year contract.
