Pengfei Han

Han Pengfei's career began in the Dalian Shide youth academy, but the club's dissolution sent him abroad to Portugal's C.D. Mafra on a free transfer. He returned home to join Guangzhou Evergrande, where a loan at Guizhou Hengfeng preceded a permanent move, and it was with Evergrande that he collected his fullest medal haul: the Chinese Super League, the Chinese FA Cup and the Chinese Super Cup, all in 2016.

The following years took him through a run of clubs rather than a settled home: Wuhan FC, a loan at Guangzhou City, then spells at Changchun Yatai and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger before he signed for Chengdu Rongcheng as a free agent in February 2025. He struggled initially for playing time there, held back by injuries and form, before becoming an undisputed starter under coach John Aloisi in 2026.

Han also has international experience, with caps for China's U23 side and, more recently, senior appearances for the national team. He was part of the Chinese Olympic team at the 2014 Asian Games.

One moment from May 2025 stood out for reasons beyond the match itself: during a game against Qingdao Hainiu, he calmly responded to verbal abuse directed at him from the stands, an episode that drew attention at the time.
