About the player
Hancel Batalla came through the LDU Quito academy, breaking into the first team as a young player.
His early career took him through Técnico Universitario before a longer spell at Cumbaya FC. He played 22 league matches and scored six goals by 2023.
A move to Aucas followed in 2024, where he made 18 league appearances and added a Copa Libertadores outing to his record.
In January 2026 Batalla joined Libertad as a free agent, signing a contract that runs until the end of the year.
