About the player
Hugo Lamy is a French defender who came through the Paris Saint-Germain academy after joining as a youngster in 2017, having previously played for Val de France Football and US Torcy. He signed his first professional contract with PSG in June 2022 and spent the following season with the club's under-19 side, but left as a free agent in the summer of 2023.
That departure took him to Switzerland, where he signed a two-year deal with AC Bellinzona in the Challenge League, with an option for a third season. His first year there was a settled one: 34 league appearances and two outings in the Swiss Cup. Lamy featured just twice before the coach lost confidence in him, and he left the club in January 2025. Bellinzona had also been the subject of a disciplinary procedure the previous July over the registration of non-local players, a case in which he was named.
He returned to France in February 2025, joining US Lusitanos Saint-Maur in the National 3. He marked his debut for the club, on 8 February, by scoring the winning goal against Moulins Yzeure, and went on to make around a dozen appearances there. He joined FC Nantes on a free transfer in June 2025, initially assigned to the reserve side. In September 2026 he moved out on loan to Vendée Foot Club La Roche-sur-Yon in Ligue 3. At international level, Lamy has been capped twice by France's under-20 side, having first been called up in September 2023.
