About the player
Mutellip Iminqari came through the Chengdu Derui academy, where he spent three years before winning the Under-15 title at the Second National Youth Games. Chengdu Rongcheng signed him from that academy in May 2022, and he needed barely a month to reach the first team, making his senior debut against Shenzhen FC that June. A first professional goal followed within a fortnight, against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger.
Iminqari has also featured for China at youth level. Standing at 1.86 metres, he offers a physical profile that suits a central midfield role.
