About the player
The move that changed Ítalo Silva's career came in 2024, when Jordanian club Al-Hussein approached Nova Iguaçu about the left-back. The first offer was 500,000 US dollars. Nova Iguaçu dug in, and the fee rose to one million, on a contract that ran to 31 December 2024.
Those fourteen years had been spent almost entirely in state championships and the lower divisions. There is no record of an academy: he began with Cabense in 2010 and kept moving — ECUS, Limoeiro, Botafogo-PB, São João da Barra, Timbaúba, Pesqueira, Mixto, Luziânia, Dom Bosco, Juara — often two clubs in a single year. In 2020 he played 20 matches for Fast Clube and scored once, one of his more settled seasons.
The best-known Brazilian names on his record came late. He joined Santa Cruz in 2022 for 21 appearances, spent part of that year on loan at América-PE, and returned to Santa Cruz for 15 matches in 2023. A short spell at Jaguar brought three goals in eight games. He then made five appearances for Nova Iguaçu, and in the 2024 Campeonato Carioca was listed among the squad's in-form players.
Al-Hussein took the Jordanian Pro League title in 2023/24, the first in the club's history, and Silva also featured in the 2025 Jordan Super Cup and played twice in the AFC Champions League Two.
He signed for Amazonas on 15 January 2026 and has since played 13 Série C matches and one in the state championship.
