About the player
Born in São Paulo, he holds Portuguese citizenship and built his early career through the academies of Atlético de Madrid and Deportivo Coruña.
At Famalicão he was part of the squad that won the Portuguese Under-19 championship in the 2022/2023 season.
Leixões signed him in July 2025 on a contract running to the end of the following season. He has since made his way into the club's Liga Portugal 2 campaign, appearing in seven matches without finding the net so far.
He comes from a footballing family — his father, Paulo Assunção, played professionally, and his brother Gustavo Assunção is also a midfielder.
