About the player
Jhony Douglas Santiago signed for the Santa Catarina side on 10 December 2025 as a free agent, arriving from Botafogo-SP after four matches there in Série B.
He came up through Paraná Clube and reached the first team in 2016. 79 appearances and four goals over five seasons, interrupted by a 2019 loan to Paysandu, where he played once in the Copa do Brasil alongside state championship and Série C football.
Coritiba took him in 2021, but he made only 14 appearances before the loans began. He played 29 Série B matches and scored three times at Novorizontino in 2022, having already turned out 24 times for Inter de Limeira earlier the same year. Then came another split season: 12 matches for São Bernardo, 15 for Sampaio Corrêa in Série B.
He left in September 2025.
He has never been called up by Brazil at any level, and no team or individual honours appear in the public record. Early in 2026 he also featured for Florença, playing 14 Série C matches and scoring once.
