Jiabao Wen

Wen Jiabao made his way through the Dalian Aerbin youth system before signing for Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao, making eight league appearances after joining the club's first team on a free transfer. A loan spell at Tianjin Tianhai followed, where he played ten matches, before a permanent move to Shanghai Shenhua at the start of 2020.

Shenhua became the club where Wen built his career. Over five seasons he made 56 league appearances, and it was there that he won the Chinese FA Cup in 2023 and the Chinese FA Super Cup in 2024. He left as a free agent at the end of 2024 and joined Dalian Yingbo, the club previously known as Dalian Zhixing, again on a free transfer.

The left-back has also worn the China shirt at various levels, moving through the under-17s, under-20s and under-23s before his senior debut, a 3-0 defeat to South Korea in the EAFF E-1 Football Championship. He was part of the under-23 squad that took bronze at that tournament in Japan, with China finishing third behind Japan and South Korea.

Every move of Wen's career has come without a transfer fee changing hands, from his first Guangzhou Evergrande contract through to his switch to Dalian. At his new club, formed only a few years ago and renamed twice since, he has continued to add to his appearance count.
