Jonson Scott Clarke-Harris

Jonson Clarke-Harris made his mark on Coventry City's history. On 10 August 2010, aged 16 years and 20 days, he came off the bench in a League Cup tie to become the club's youngest-ever player. He left Coventry as a free agent in 2012, moving to Peterborough United, and spent the following seasons at Southend United, Bury, then a permanent switch to Oldham Athletic, where he was named the club's young player of the season for 2013/14.

Rotherham United paid a club-record fee, reported at around £350,000, to sign him in September 2014, and further loan spells at Milton Keynes Dons and Doncaster Rovers followed. A cruciate ligament injury in 2016 cost him most of the 2016/17 season. In January 2018 he returned to Coventry on loan before making the move permanent, and a year later he joined Bristol Rovers.

That form persuaded Peterborough United to bring him back in August 2020 for a fee estimated between £1.25 million and £1.4 million: in 2020/21 he finished as EFL League One's top scorer with 31 goals, was named the division's player of the season, and was included in the PFA Team of the Year. He added an EFL Trophy winners' medal with Peterborough in 2023/24 before rejoining Rotherham in May 2024 on a two-year deal, a spell cut short by mutual consent in July 2025. He then signed a two-year contract with Turkish side Pendikspor.

Born in Leicester, Clarke-Harris holds British and Jamaican nationality and made his senior international debut for Jamaica on 25 May 2022, against Catalonia. In September 2021, the Football Association handed him a four-match ban and a £5,300 fine over tweets from 2012–13 referencing sexual orientation.
