About the player
The goal came in a cup tie that Huracán will remember for a while: a 5–3 win over Racing Club in the Round of 32 of the Copa Argentina in 2023, with Lucas Eduardo Carrizo , a centre-back, among the scorers. Huracán went out in the quarter-finals that year, beaten by Estudiantes.
Carrizo arrived at the club on loan in January 2022. The move became permanent two years later, in January 2024, for a reported fee of around €370,000.
Before that, he had spent most of his career in the second tier. He turned professional at Quilmes, spending a season and a bit there from May 2017, then moved to San Telmo on a free transfer in July 2018. Carrizo made 13 league appearances in that campaign. He stayed with Gimnasia Mendoza until January 2022.
He has not been capped by Argentina at any level, senior or youth, and has collected no individual honours.
A left-footer from San Miguel de Tucumán, he continues to play for Huracán.
