About the player
Luis Martínez started out at Metropolitanos, the Venezuelan club where he spent his first senior seasons before moving on to Mineros de Guayana. The Venezuelan defender then took his career abroad, joining Always Ready in Bolivia and later appearing for Al-Tai in Saudi Arabia.
His time in Venezuela also included a spell at the club now known as Real Esppor Club, which played under a different name when Martínez was there, based in La Guaira but hosting its matches in Caracas. He has continued to move between clubs since, most recently linked with Universidad Central.
