Leopold Wurm

Leopold Wurm came through Jahn Regensburg's own academy, joining the club in 2014 after starting out at TSV Oberisling and working his way through every youth level before signing his first professional contract in September 2023. He spent that season with the reserve side in the Bayernliga, where 28 appearances and two goals earned him a step up, and he made his 2. Bundesliga debut for the first team the following September.

His breakthrough campaign came in 2024–25, when he made 22 appearances in the second division and scored his first goal at that level, against Darmstadt 98. Wurm has continued to be a regular fixture in defence since, and by the end of the 2025–26 season he had made 35 appearances for the first team.

Internationally, Wurm has moved through Germany's youth ranks, picking up two caps for the U18s under Hanno Balitsch in 2023 before stepping up to the U19s. He marked his U19 debut in May 2025 with a goal against Denmark in a 1-1 draw, and went on to appear against the Netherlands, England and Norway as Germany reached the semi-finals of the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Romania. He has since earned five caps and two goals at that level, and had previously been invited to training camps with the Germany U17s.
