About the player
Lucas Kubr was born in the Belgian city of Tongeren, the son of former Czech footballer Martin Kubr and a Belgian mother. He grew up in Belgium, where he took his first steps in the game through the academies of Standard Liège and Sint-Truiden.
A loan spell at Moss followed in 2023, where he scored once in five appearances in the OBOS-ligaen, and he added a single top-flight outing for Bodø/Glimt's first team in the Eliteserien that same year.
In the summer of 2024, Kubr moved on a free transfer to Zbrojovka Brno, splitting his time between the Czech second division side and the club's reserve team in the third tier. He signed a multi-year contract with Hradec Králové on 19 July 2025, joining a club whose history includes second-division titles and a Czech Cup win from the 1994/95 season.
At Hradec Králové, Kubr has featured for the first team in the Chance Liga while also turning out for the reserve side in the third division. On the international stage, he has represented Czech youth sides at U18, U19 and U20 level, including appearances in the 2023 European U19 Championship qualifiers, where he scored once in five matches.
