Marko Bačanin

Marko Bačanin's best return in front of goal came far from home, at the Slovenian club Tabor Sežana, where he scored 15 goals in 29 appearances in 2018.

He came through the academy at Smederevo before moving on to Jagodina and then Vojvodina, where he made his first-team debut in November 2016. Spells in Greece with Chania–Kissamikos, back in Serbia with Javor Ivanjica and Radnički 1912, and further moves to Omladinac Novi Banovci and Smederevo 1924 followed.

He played 44 matches and scored 9 goals at Napredak Kruševac after joining as a free agent in 2021. A stint at Železničar Pančevo followed, along with a loan to Sloboda Užice, where he added 5 goals in 11 games.

In 2024, Bačanin moved abroad again, this time to Finland to join Haka, where he scored 6 goals in 31 matches. Early the following year he signed for Balzan in Malta, and in July 2025 he joined Panevėžys in Lithuania on a free transfer, agreeing a contract through the end of 2026. At Panevėžys he has made 34 appearances and scored 5 goals so far.

Bačanin has represented Serbia at under-19 level, with two caps, but has not featured for the senior national team.
