Manolis Siopis

Manolis Siopis broke through at Panionios, where the club's supporters voted him their player of the season in 2015/16. He had barely featured for the Piraeus club before a loan to Platanias and then a longer spell in Nea Smyrni.

The move abroad came via Alanyaspor, and from there he signed for Trabzonspor in August 2021. He became a fixture in the Black Sea club's midfield, and in 2021/22 he won the Turkish Süper Lig with Trabzonspor, the club's first championship in 39 years. A Turkish Super Cup followed in 2022 before his contract was terminated in the summer of 2023.

Cardiff City signed him as a free agent that August, and he settled into the Championship, playing 42 league games in his first season in Wales. A second season brought 21 more appearances before Panathinaikos paid around €800,000 to bring him back to Greece in January 2025, on a contract running to 2027.

Siopis made his senior Greece debut in May 2019 against Turkey and has gone on to earn more than 40 caps. His only international goal came in March 2023, in a 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Gibraltar. He was part of the Greece squad that beat England 2-1 at Wembley in the Nations League in October 2024. He came up through Greece's youth ranks from under-17 to under-21 level before establishing himself at senior level.
