Max Plaut

Max Plath arrived at FC Ingolstadt 04 as a teenager before the first team came calling. He had already spent time at TSV 1860 München and, briefly, at FC Bayern München's U17 side, but it was at Ingolstadt that he settled. In his last U19 campaign he was a regular presence in midfield, contributing four goals and six assists, and helped the side reach the runner-up spot in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga Süd/Südwest in the 2023/24 season.

The step up came in the second half of 2024. Plath signed his first professional contract in December, but his senior debut had already arrived a few months earlier, in the 3. Liga match against SV Waldhof Mannheim, when he came on as a substitute for the injured Felix Keidel in a game Ingolstadt won 2:1. He went on to make eleven appearances in the league that season, picking up an assist, and featured once in the DFB-Pokal, against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

Plath also has a Landespokal Bayern winner's medal with Ingolstadt from his time coming through the club. His first goal at senior level came in the 2025/26 season, against Wehen Wiesbaden. A right-footed midfielder capable of playing in a deeper role or wide on the right, he has built his early career on versatility, filling in across midfield and at right-back as needed rather than being tied to a single position.
