About the player
Before he had a senior league appearance to his name, Muhammed Alperen Uysal was named best goalkeeper of the Hagi Talent Cup in Romania in 2010, at a point when he belonged to the Galatasaray youth set-up and the Turkey Under-17 side. In qualifying for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship the same year he kept clean sheets, England among the sides he shut out. Three years later he was in the Turkey Under-20 squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, staged in Turkey.
The step into senior football took longer. Uysal was part of the Galatasaray first-team squad in the 2014/15 season but did not play a senior match. He left for Çaykur Rizespor on a free transfer in August 2016, with Galatasaray keeping half of any future fee, and that spell produced nothing at all: no league appearances in a season and a half, and a departure by mutual consent in January 2018.
What followed was the run that defines the career so far. Uysal signed for İstanbulspor on 27 January 2018 and stayed four years, playing 128 league matches. Since leaving he has moved almost every season: 10 league appearances at Antalyaspor, 21 in a first spell at Manisa FK, 11 at Şanlıurfaspor, then 37 back at Manisa and 17 at Sarıyer in 2025/26.
On 6 February 2026 he joined Vanspor on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs to 30 June 2027 — the eighth club of a career that began with a trophy for keeping the ball out at under-17 level.
