Nicolás Javier Schiappacasse Oliva

Twenty-nine goals in a single season, spread across four competitions, arrived for Nicolás Schiappacasse in Brazil in 2026. He was Amazonas' leading scorer in the Campeonato Amazonense (10), the Copa Verde (9) and Serie C (7), and added three in the Copa do Brasil across 33 matches.

Before that, the numbers had been thin. He came through youth football in Uruguay at Club Nueva Palmira, Club Universal and River Plate of Montevideo, playing for River Plate's youth side from 2010 to 2015 and then making 24 appearances with four goals for the senior team. Atlético Madrid signed him in 2016 for their Juvenil A side, and he moved on to Atlético Madrid B without scoring. Loans followed in sequence: Rayo Majadahonda, where he scored once; Parma, three matches; Famalicão, a handful more. Sassuolo took him in October 2020; he played once or twice and did not score. A loan to Peñarol in 2021 brought nothing.

The goals came back in Uruguay. At La Luz in 2023–24 he scored nine in 15 matches, though a loan spell at Belgrano in Argentina passed without a goal. He returned to Miramar Misiones, then rejoined River Plate of Montevideo in August 2025 by mutual agreement, without playing a match.

His junior international record stands apart from the club years. He won the South American U-20 Championship with Uruguay in 2017, scoring three, and added one at that year's U-20 World Cup, and took bronze at the 2019 South American U-20 Championship. A single senior friendly for Uruguay followed in September 2024. He left Amazonas by mutual agreement in August 2026.
