Nicolás Marcel Sessa

Nicolás Sessa was born in Stuttgart, and it is Hoffenheim rather than Stuttgart that gave him his start in senior football. He joined the club's youth ranks and won the U19 Bundesliga with Hoffenheim's under-19 side, having also earned a single appearance for Germany's U18 side, scoring in a friendly. From there he progressed to Hoffenheim II, where he made 38 appearances and scored three goals before a free transfer to VfB Stuttgart.

His stay in the Stuttgart first team was brief, limited to a single appearance, but his second spell with Stuttgart II proved far more productive: 17 goals in 39 games marked the best scoring return of his career. From there his path took him through the lower reaches of German football. Two appearances at Erzgebirge Aue gave way to a longer stint at Kaiserslautern, where he made 28 appearances without finding the net but did win the Regionalliga Südwest in 2019/2020.

The move to SC Verl brought Sessa's game back into focus. Over 54 appearances he scored 13 goals. That form was enough to take him back to Stuttgart II in 2024, where he has continued to feature regularly, racking up 60 appearances and 10 goals for the side he first represented seven years earlier.

Sessa remains a fixture in Stuttgart II's midfield.
