About the player
Niek Munsters grew up playing for amateur side RKVV Erp before joining the PSV academy in 2011. He left PSV in 2016 and spent two seasons in amateur football with VV Gemert. In 2018 he and his twin brother Joep, also a footballer, both moved to the youth setup at VVV-Venlo.
Munsters made his Eredivisie debut for VVV-Venlo on 26 March 2022, though his opportunities with the first team remained limited to two appearances that season. He left the club as a free agent that summer and moved to Germany, joining SV Straelen in the Regionalliga West. After Straelen's relegation, he switched to fellow Regionalliga side SV Lippstadt 08 in 2023, again on a free transfer.
Munsters signed for FC Eindhoven on 22 August 2025, joining the Eerste Divisie side on an amateur contract. He has established himself as a regular in the squad, and by the 2026/27 season carried an MVP rating of 67 per cent according to FuPa. Across his time at the club he has made 15 appearances, including two in the current campaign, and has registered one assist without yet scoring a goal.
