About the player
The goal that shaped Ryonosuke Ohori's early reputation came in the 2018 JFA U-18 Premier League final, where the Sanfrecce Hiroshima youth player scored the winner. His side had already taken the Premier League West title that season.
What followed was a career built almost entirely on free transfers, across an unusual spread of leagues. He left Japan for the youth setup at Portimonense SC in Portugal, then began his professional career in Latvia with BFC Daugavpils, where he made three appearances. A move to Gyeongnam FC in South Korea in 2022 produced two.
The return to SRC Hiroshima in February 2023 is the outlier on his record: 18 goals in 16 appearances.
That season took him to Lithuania. At FK TransINVEST he played 31 matches and scored six, and in June 2024 he was named in the A Lyga Team of the Week. Azerbaijan came next: he signed for Neftçi PFK as a free agent in January 2025, then spent from August 2025 to June 2026 on loan at FK Kapaz, making 24 appearances and scoring three.
Internationally, he was named in the Japan U-17 squad in 2018 for the JENESYS Japan-Mekong tournament. Official records list no caps.
He returned to Neftçi's parent squad before joining FK Radnik Surdulica on 21 July 2026, again on a free transfer — his first club in the Serbian SuperLiga.
