About the player
Samuel Dancák started out at VSS Košice before making the move to Dukla Prague's academy in 2016. His path to the first team ran through a loan spell lower down the pyramid: at Olympia Radotin, in the semi-professional Czech second division, he made 19 appearances without scoring.
That debut arrived just before Dukla dropped out of the Czech top division, and Dancák continued playing for the club in the second tier the following season. In January 2021 he moved to Mladá Boleslav, a transfer reported at around €200,000, and went on to make 18 appearances in his first season there.
Hradec Králové brought him in on loan in August 2023: by July 2024 the move was made permanent, with the transfer fee undisclosed. He now plays for the club wearing the number 11 shirt.
At youth level, Dancák represented Slovakia across three age groups — five caps for the under-17s, two for the under-18s and two for the under-21s, the latter including friendlies against Greece and Norway in 2019. He has not been called up to the senior national team.
More recently, he started in a 2-1 league win over Slavia Prague in which he was rated 7.8 by analysts.
