About the player
Sebastian Banozic spent most of his development at BK Häcken, joining the club's under-19 side before stepping up to the first-team squad in December 2022. He stayed with Häcken through 2024, though the bulk of his senior football came away from Gothenburg: two separate loan spells at Torslanda IK, including a 2024 campaign in which he played 25 matches.
His contract at Häcken expired at the end of 2024, leaving him a free agent. IFK Göteborg made contact in January 2025, with Swedish outlet Sportbladet describing him as a low-cost option for the club after its loaned goalkeepers departed. No agreement followed. Banozic instead signed for Norrby IF on 3 February 2025, putting pen to paper on a deal running to the end of 2026.
Banozic has also featured on Sweden's underage international lists, having been named among Sweden under-16 players in the past, though without any appearances at that level.
