Semih Güler

At Adana Demirspor, Semih Güler ended up holding the club's appearance record — 130 matches as of early 2024 — and wore the armband. He arrived there in January 2019, on a free or undisclosed transfer, and stayed six years. In 2020–21 he was part of the side that won the TFF 1. Lig title.

The route in was unusual for a Turkish top-flight defender. Güler was born and raised in Castrop-Rauxel, in Germany, and started his senior career at SC Westfalia Herne, where he made around 45 appearances across a single season. In August 2014 Eskişehirspor paid roughly €20,000 to take him to the Süper Lig.

What followed was two years out on loan. Between 2015 and 2017 he played 53 times for Eyüpspor, and returned to Eskişehirspor with a proper senior record behind him. The Adana Demirspor move came a year and a half after that.

The last two moves have come quickly. In February 2025 he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Gaziantep FK; less than a year later, in January 2026, he left for Kayserispor on the same length of deal, announced on 17 January. Neither fee was made public.

Güler holds both German and Turkish citizenship. He has not been capped by either country, at senior or youth level.
