About the player
Tristan Brown's route to the Columbus Crew first team ran entirely through the club's own academy.
He made his debut for the reserve side, Columbus Crew 2, in MLS NEXT Pro in 2023, appearing in two matches. Across his time with Crew 2 he made 44 appearances and scored twice.
Brown's first-team debut came on 22 March 2025. He signed a Homegrown contract with Columbus Crew on 10 June 2025, making him the second-youngest player in the club's history to do so. The deal runs through the end of the 2028 season, with club options for 2029 and 2030. He played six MLS matches for the first team in 2025 and added two appearances in the 2026 US Open Cup.
A left-footed wingback, Brown has represented the United States at under-18, under-19 and under-20 level, though he has not yet received a call-up to the senior national team.
