About the player
He took over as Akhmat's starting goalkeeper for the 2026/2027 season, replacing 37-year-old Giorgi Sheliya. Coach Stanislav Cherchesov explained the change as a decision to give the veteran a rest.
He came through the academy system in Balashikha and Yegoryevsk before starting his senior career at amateur side Keramik in Balashikha in 2018. Two years later he moved to Moscow club Strogino, playing a season in the PFL. In the summer of 2021 he relocated to Kazakhstan, joining Kairat-Moscow before breaking into the first team at Kairat in Almaty. He stayed with the Kazakh club until January 2025, and in 2024 won the Kazakhstan championship with them.
He joined Akhmat in January 2025 and made his debut for the Grozny club in the Russian Cup. He has since made 11 appearances in the Russian Premier League. He has not been capped by the Russian national team, though he has previously said he would like to play for it.
