About the player
Víctor Griffith started his career at Tauro FC in Panama before moving abroad in 2019 to join Santos de Guápiles in Costa Rica. From there he signed with Árabe Unido, another Panamanian side, in 2021.
His move to the United States came in 2022, when he joined Portland Timbers 2, the club's reserve outfit in MLS Next Pro. That spell earned him a step up to the first team the following year, a promotion that put him on a senior professional roster in Major League Soccer. He later returned to Árabe Unido in 2024 before crossing the Atlantic to join Scottish side St. Johnstone in 2025.
At international level, Griffith has represented Panama since October 2020, going on to earn 18 caps. He was included in the squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2021 and again in 2025.
He now arrives at Emelec on loan from St. Johnstone.
