Vinicius Peixoto

Vinicius Peixoto's path to Brazilian football's second tier started far from a traditional academy. He came through a social project in Osasco before a move abroad took him to Sharjah's youth ranks in the United Arab Emirates. He returned home in 2023 and worked through youth squads at Nacional and Mirassol before his career took shape at São Bernardo and Rio Branco, in São Paulo state football.

It was at Rio Branco that Peixoto first drew attention beyond local circles, named the breakthrough player of the 2024 Campeonato Paulista Série A4. A loan spell at Foz do Iguaçu followed at the start of 2026, and the forward made it count: four goals in eight matches in the Paraná state championship, a return sharp enough to prompt his move to Cuiabá that February.

At Cuiabá, in Série B, Peixoto has become a player capable of deciding matches rather than simply featuring in them. His goal secured the club's first home win of the season against CRB, and he followed it with a brace away to Londrina in a 2-2 draw. In August, he struck again to rescue a point against Goiás after Cuiabá's defence had wobbled — the kind of contribution that has made him a recurring name in the team's best-performer notes rather than a fixture there by habit.

None of this has yet translated into senior international recognition, and his career has so far avoided major injury setbacks or transfer controversy. What stands out instead is the shape of the story itself: a left-footed forward who left Brazil as a teenager to develop abroad, came back, and is now finding his rhythm in Série B goal by goal.
