About the player
His route started close to home, at NK Dinamo Vidovci in Požega, before he joined NK Slavonija Požega and played in their youth categories across the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons. In September 2021 he moved to NK Osijek's academy, staying roughly two seasons. The switch to Slaven Belupo followed in July 2024, on a contract running to June 2027. Papac has said he chose the club for better development opportunities and more playing time, and one taken as a free youth transfer, as all his moves have been.
At Slaven Belupo he has been registered with the under-19 cadets and the under-17s, while also training with the senior squad and featuring in friendlies. He has not yet appeared in a competitive senior match in the Croatian First League or the Croatian Cup.
He is ambidextrous .
The clearest marker of where he stands came from outside the club: a call-up to the Croatia under-18 side under coach Siniša Oreščanin. Papac described it as a significant honour.
