About the player
Wang Zhiyuan grew his game through the youth system, moving from Jiangsu FC's academy into Shenzhen's setup, first with the club's U19 side and then with Shenzhen FA, before joining Shenzhen 2028 in the spring of 2024. The midfielder has since worn the number 28 shirt for the first team in China League Two, appearing across the 2025 and 2026 campaigns as the club worked him into senior football.
The provincial side reached the final of the tournament in 2025, only for the title to slip away on penalties against Hubei.
