Ziming Wang

Wang Ziming's football education began at Qingdao Hailifeng's youth ranks before the club was dissolved over match-fixing, sending him into Qingdao Jonoon's academy in 2010. He made his senior debut there in 2014 and stayed for three seasons before a move to Beijing Guoan in July 2017 changed the trajectory of his career. Over the following years he became a regular fixture in the capital, making 154 league appearances and scoring 29 goals, and lifted the Chinese FA Cup with the club in 2018 and again in 2025.

One moment from that spell stands out: a late winner against Shanghai Shenhua on 4 August 2024. In January 2026 he left Beijing Guoan for Chengdu Rongcheng, a switch that closed one long chapter of his career and opened another.

At international level, Wang progressed through the China under-23 side between 2016 and 2017 before earning his first senior cap in 2019, going on to score three goals in 13 appearances for the national team. Among those goals, a hat-trick against the Maldives on 24 September 2026 stands as his most productive outing in a China shirt. He has also twice tasted bronze with the national team at the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, in 2019 and 2025.
