About the player
In 2016, playing for Zagłębie Sosnowiec against Stal Mielec, Udovičić chipped the ball over his own goalkeeper. The clip was named own goal of the year in Poland, and it followed him around a spell that otherwise ran to 108 appearances and 12 goals across four seasons.
After Zagłębie came Lechia Gdańsk in 2019, where he made 23 appearances and won the Polish Super Cup, then Raków Częstochowa in 2021. At Raków he played three times and left with a Polish Cup winner's medal from the 2021–22 season.
Before any of that he was a Serbian league regular. He started at Morava Katrga, spent two seasons at Sloboda Užice in the town where he was born, and joined Mladost Lučani in 2008 for three seasons and 110 appearances. At Napredak Kruševac he made 63 appearances and won the Serbian First League in 2012–13.
His year at Novi Pazar ended badly. After he missed a penalty, hooligans confronted him in the dressing room and threatened him with a gun; he left the club temporarily under police protection.
He has never been capped by Serbia at any level. His one international appearance came in November 2013, in a friendly for a Team of Journalists against the national side.
Udovičić returned to Mladost Lučani in 2022 and has made 134 appearances since, wearing the captain's armband in his later seasons at the club.
