Amazonas U20

The fixture Amazonas FC's academy sides never seem to win is the one against Fast Clube, and the under-20 team has now lived through it twice: beaten in the 2025 Campeonato Amazonense Sub-20 final by Nacional FC, then beaten again in the 2026 final by Fast, the club's other old Manaus rival alongside Manaus FC.

What the Sub-20 side is for became clear well before either final. Guga, Bernardo Daciolo, Pedrinho, Raylison, Kauan Firmo, Carlinhos and Wendel all came up through it into the first team, and it was that same first team, built partly on academy graduates, that won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C in 2023 and took the Campeonato Amazonense that year and again in 2025.

Home games are played at the Carlos Zamith ground, a modest setting compared with the Arena da Amazônia the senior side calls on for its bigger nights. The yellow, white and black of "Onça-Pintada" carries across both age groups, but the trophies so far belong only to the men above them.

For a side still chasing its first title, the derby with Manaus FC and the meetings with Fast Clube matter more than any league position: those are the games in which the club's next generation is actually measured against the city it plays for.
