In 2026 the run added a first Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup, beaten out over Shagadam 2-0.

None of that would mean much without the opening season, because the club did not exist before April 2023. It was founded on 1 April that year at the initiative of Turkmenistan's former president, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, built as the football face of the newly built city of Arkadag and stocked, through a specially widened transfer window, with a squad drawn heavily from the national team. Seventeen days later it played its first match. By the end of that debut Ýokary Liga campaign it had won all 24 games, a perfect record capped by a 3-0 cup final win over Ahal, with Didar Durdyýew top-scoring on 27 goals.

Vladimir Baýramow took charge in November 2023 and steered that golden double, work recognised with a "For Love of the Motherland" medal; Röwşen Muhadow joined the setup in 2025, and Mergen Orazow leads the team into 2026. Most home games are played at the 10,000-capacity Arkadag Stadium, though for continental fixtures with real weight — the AFC Champions League last-16 tie against Al Nassr among them — the club has shifted to Ashgabat's 45,000-seat Olympic Stadium, sanctioned by the AFC as its ground for those nights.
