The one Georgian Amateur League title Basa holds came in 2022, won against a side from Tsalkalubo.
The club exists because a name needed a home: Basa Gogoberidze, the Georgian footballer and coach known by that nickname, died in a car accident, and the team founded in Kutaisi in 2017 carries it forward. It started out in the Tbilisi regional amateur league before working its way toward the David Kipiani Cup, where it has since faced Guria, Gareji, Lokomotiv Tbilisi and Chiatura.
Kutaisi already has a senior tenant of its main ground, the Ramaz Shengelia Stadium — Torpedo Kutaisi plays there too.
The stadium holds 14,700.
