Bray Wanderers

Carlisle Grounds has stood by the seafront since 1862, and it is where Bray Wanderers have played through every version of the club. The capacity now runs to 3,200, most of it seated.

The Wanderers trace back to 1922, when players broke away from the local GAA side St Kevin's to form a football club of their own. Election to the League of Ireland came in 1985, and the club marked it by winning the First Division at the first attempt.

The FAI Cup came twice. In 1990, still a Second Division side, Bray beat St Francis 3-0 to become the first club from that tier to lift the trophy.
